  • For the last five years, I've expanded my work as an independent consultant, offering digital communications strategy, hands-on channel management, content creation, digital ad buying, and a variety of supporting services to clients primarily in the architecture and design space, including Leckie Studio, Stark Architecture, the Architecture and Design Film Fest, Vancouver Special, and more.

    I seek to work with select brands with deep roots and in alignment with my personal values - with a mission and vision that I can fully support and that fulfils a sense of contribution to the greater good.

    Prior to my independent work, at Onni Group I directed digital and social media strategies for a diverse portfolio of North American residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. My efforts increased revenue, brand affinity, and overall traffic to both digital and physical properties. Additionally, I managed a substantial digital ad budget, developed high-profile brand partnerships, and introduced brand voice guidelines and social responsibility standards.

    • Jive PR + Digital is a boutique PR and social media agency with offices in Vancouver and LA, and a focus on building community and growing awareness for brands in food and beverage, entertainment and creative industries. While Jive began as a traditional PR agency, the shifting media landscape has led to 70-80% of the business being driven by social-first clients, with a focus on hyper-targeted digital ad buying, influencer marketing, content development and community management.

    • Managed and mentored a team of five digital communications coordinators

    • Led strategy development and brand initiatives for key clients, including Granville Island Brewing, Earth’s Own, Creative BC, Honda, Vancouver International Film Festival, Bauhaus Restaurant, and Villa Maria Wine

    • Developed comprehensive annual and campaign-based strategies to achieve specific business objectives of each client, with broad goals of building awareness and driving revenue, and narrow goals specific to brand demographics

    • Optimized existing and introduced new core business processes that dramatically shifted the way the agency operates, including those related to proposals, strategic planning, creative development, marketing automation, database management, analytics and reporting

    • Developed and launched Jive’s Influencer and Ambassador programs, resulting in increased revenue for the agency and added value to clients

    • Directed creative for key client asset development, working with external teams to produce compelling brand-focused lifestyle content. This asset development solved existing content supply issues and created a new revenue stream for the agency, by pitching existing clients above-scope photo and video development, executed by a team of sub-contractors

    • Business Development and Proposal Development leading to new agency business

    • Hawkers Wharf was designed as an ambitious 2.2 acre open-air market and event space on the North Shore, developed in connection with Concert Properties, featuring independent food vendors, an accelerator co-working kitchen, and a restaurant

    • Managed the development of communications, social media and events systems to build community awareness and drive traffic and on-site sales

    • Development of on-site events programming designed to drive traffic and sales

    • Social media strategy, implementation and management, including coordination of content production across multiple channels

    • Management of PR team and internal / external communications, media relations

    • Juniper Bar + Kitchen, a 3000 square foot, 100+ seat farm-to-table restaurant in Vancouver’s vibrant Chinatown neighbourhood was born from a passion for the flavours of the Pacific Northwest

    • Original concept ideation, visioning, business plan and identity development with an active, hands-on role in all elements of the project

    • Advised on architectural development, menu development, space design and build, and core team recruitment efforts

  • In this design-focused, hands-on role I lead the branding and communications design program for AECOM’s Canadian operations and managed a team of eight regional marketing staff across the country in the production of consistent regional materials.

    • Designed all corporate brochures, regional materials, quarterly magazine, newsletters, direct mail, signage, display and trade show / event materials

    • Developed internal corporate communications platform for strategic visioning program, health & safety program and bi-monthly newsletters

    • Copywriter and / or Editor for all Canadian communications

    • Managed a team including junior designers, interns and administrative support as well as corporate advertising programs and budgets

  • In this intermediate role I was responsible for regional corporate collateral production including graphic design, copy writing, project and print management, as well as managing and executing the Vancouver events budget and calendar
