Hewing Haus is redefining small-scale living in Canada with beautifully engineered mass-timber prefabricated homes designed for speed, style, and sustainability. My role focused on strengthening the brand’s digital presence, growing its social media community, and elevating the company’s reputation across both consumer and trade audiences.
Objectives
Grow brand awareness and community across social media
Improve engagement and overall visibility through consistent and strategic content
Support sales and inquiries through increased traffic and discovery
Strengthen brand credibility within the prefab and architecture space

Within 12 months, Hewing Haus saw substantial, measurable digital growth:
61% increase in social media community size
45% increase in interactions
58% increase in views
Growth was driven by organic strategy and execution: only 2.3% of view growth came from paid media
Improvements were achieved through strategic posting frequency, consistency, and content variety
In addition to digital performance wins, I supported the brand in award applications, resulting in a major industry milestone:

Recognition for the 700 sq. ft. Saturna 7 cabin located at Hewing Haven in Sunshine Valley, BC
Strategic Approach
Developed and launched a cohesive social media strategy grounded in architecture-lifestyle storytelling and product education
Refined brand tone and messaging to promote modern prefab design without a hard-sell approach
Balanced consumer, trade, and industry content to expand reach across audiences
Strengthened frequency and consistency across platforms to build authority and traction
Leveraged multi-touch content including behind-the-build storytelling, customer lifestyle narratives, manufacturing process insights, and influencer/testimonial alignment
Challenges & Solutions
One of the project’s core challenges was limited budget for photorealistic renderings and ongoing professional photography, which are pivotal in the architecture and design category. To mitigate this, I:
Experimented with AI tools to visually prototype new home styles
Recommended a hybrid content direction, including:
Professional photo/video capture during select new home installations
Short-form video and owner journey features for digital channels
Product education videos teaching build process, value, and customization options
User-generated and community-generated content to expand reach
These solutions provided a scalable, cost-conscious path to visual quality and narrative depth while preserving the premium feel of the brand.
